About me

Ewa Rudnicka is a linguist who unexpectedly shifted from studying mathematics to exploring language during an interdisciplinary humanities program. She is a professor at the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Artes Liberales, where she teaches courses in various areas of linguistics. Her research focuses on cultural and normative linguistics as well as lexicology and lexicography. Beyond her academic duties, she contributes to educational initiatives such as the Polish Literature and Language Olympiad. Rudnicka regularly promotes linguistic awareness through radio programs and other media appearances. She collaborates on interdisciplinary projects and engages with scholarly communities outside her home institution. An avid lover of nature and everyday simplicity, she places great value on cultivating close, personal relationships. Her work seamlessly combines rigorous scholarship with public outreach, reflecting a deep passion for language and inclusive education.
